Carmel leads the sustainability services team of The Levy Partnership, Inc. (TLP), a research and consulting firm specializing in building performance and energy efficiency. She has over 6 years of experience as a consultant and technical advisor to the building industry, including architects, developers, contractors, builders, homeowners, and manufacturers. Her work has focused in the area of affordable housing, net zero energy, green building certification/verification, integrated design, and building forensics/diagnostics.
Carmel has presented and trained on the topics of residential energy efficiency, sustainability, eco-friendly lifestyle hacks, and whole-building performance testing.
Her role at The Levy Partnership includes managing various projects and coordinating a team of professionals on efficiency programs across the public and private sector. She specializes in whole-building energy modeling and evaluating applications of new technologies and building science best-practices. Carmel helps clients identify, implement, analyze, and market meaningful efficiency/resiliency measures through a comprehensive sustainability consulting approach.
She is a RESNET certified Home Energy Rater, a LEED for Homes Green Rater, and a PHIUS+ Certified Passive House Consultant, as well as a member of NYPH.
