Amy is a Principal and founder of Shakespeare, Gordon, Vlado Architects (formerly Redtop Architects) and was certified as a passive house consultant in 2012, subsequently completing the first EnerPhit certified passive house renovation in New York City. Her firm specializes in small-scale, highly custom single-family residential projects, larger affordable multi-family and senior housing, and educational architecture. Her most recent project is the Tres Puentes campus in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx, a 320-unit senior affordable housing campus consisting of two new buildings and one renovated existing building. Practicing since 1994, Amy has completed many housing, institutional, and cultural projects for clients including universities, public school systems, and the government. Additionally, Amy serves as co-vice president on the Board of Directors of Rebuilding Together NYC, a non-profit organization which provides free housing repairs to low-income homeowners throughout NYC.
